Nine-Year-Old Merrin Paff recognized as South Huron Home Town Hero

"How can I help my community?"
That's the question 9-year-old Merrin Paff of Crediton, ON asked herself.
Last month she braved a 'polar bear plunge' in the icy waters of Lake Huron to raise $810 for Jessica's House Hospice - Huron County!!
In doing so, she became a South Huron Home Town Hero! Mayor George Finch presented this award of merit to Merrin at Town Hall this week with her mother Jenn and brother Willem (who also took the plunge in support of his little sister).
Both gracious AND forward thinking, Merrin took the opportunity to challenge others to participate next year and fundraise even more!
Brrrr-ing it on!
