Exeter Main Street- Weekly Update-November 29, 2024

This week the contractor completed the remaining gravel road base work, curb installation, base asphalt on Main Street and the final watermain tie-in north of Thames Road. Traffic continues to be shifted onto the new asphalt on the east side of Main Street from the bridge to Walper Street. Traffic signals have been temporarily disrupted during paving; but will be reinstated. Access to all businesses is being reasonably maintained during construction.

 Next week the contractor will complete the remaining asphalt aprons at side streets, complete the sidewalks, commence the final cleanup/restoration work; and weather permitting, will place the temporary line markings. All lanes on Thames Road are open and the traffic signals will be reinstated before the weekend. With traffic reduced to one lane in each direction on Main Street, please expect delays and plan accordingly. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
