Exeter Main Street- Weekly Update-November 15, 2024

This week the contractor continued installation of new sidewalks, concrete boulevards, and final preparation for base asphalt on the west side of Main Street from the bridge to Walper Street. Traffic continues to be shifted onto the new asphalt on the east side of Main Street from the bridge to Walper Street. Access to all businesses is being reasonably maintained during construction.

 Next week the contractor will complete the final watermain tie-ins and fine grading in preparation for paving on the west side of Main Street from the bridge to Walper Street. Paving is scheduled for late in the week, depending on the weather. All lanes on Thames Road are open and the traffic signals are operating normally. With traffic reduced to one lane in each direction on Main Street, please expect delays and plan accordingly. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
