Exeter Main Street- Weekly Update-December 6, 2024

All construction activity this week was delayed due to the severe winter storm and the contractor has been removing a significant accumulation of snow from the construction area. Traffic continues to be shifted to the east side of Main Street from the bridge to Walper Street. Access to all businesses is being reasonably maintained during construction.

 Early next week the contractor will complete the remaining asphalt aprons at side streets and prepare the site for a winter shut down. The entire roadway will be reopened as soon as weather permits and temporary lane markings are planned when road conditions permit. All lanes on Thames Road are open and the traffic signals are operating normally. With traffic reduced to one lane in each direction on Main Street, please expect delays and plan accordingly.
