It is my great pleasure to represent the community of South Huron as Mayor.

Visitors to South Huron will be pleased to find this treasure of rural Ontario where we offer the very best of Ontario’s West Coast. I encourage you to discover all that South Huron has to offer - the magnificent sunsets and sandy beaches in Grand Bend, our signature food and beverage artisans, special events reflecting our rural heritage, and our charming main streets packed with boutiques ready to serve up something special.

South Huron Council (2022-2026)

Council was elected on October 24, 2022 and was sworn into office on November 21, 2022* to serve a four-year term. *Councillor McLeod-Haggitt was sworn in on November 20, 2023 after a selection process to fill a vacancy in Ward 2.

Role of Mayor and Council

to act as chief executive officer of the municipality;
to preside over council meetings;
to provide leadership to council;
to represent the municipality at official functions; and
to carry out the duties as the head of council under this or any other act.
