Rzone Policy

Respect in our facilities

Rzone is a policy requiring anyone using a South Huron facility, park, program or service to respect others and take responsibility in helping the Municipality maintain a positive environment for everyone. The "R" in Rzone stands for Respect and Responsibility.

South Huron Council approved the Rzone Policy at the November, 2024 Council meeting (Staff Report, Item 9.2.1). Rzone is first and foremost a proactive education and awareness strategy to promote respectful and responsible behaviour. However, disrespectful or irresponsible behaviour towards others can result in the denial of service to an individual/group and their removal from a South Huron facility.

How do I report an incident?

Incidents should be reported as soon as possible. If you are involved in or witness an incident, you may report it to a South Huron staff member or use our online Report a Problem form.

Once a report is made, South Huron staff will investigate and take action to correct or prevent the situation from happening again.
