Rzone Policy
South Huron Council approved the Rzone Policy at the November, 2024 Council meeting (Staff Report, Item 9.2.1). This policy applies to all recreational facilities, municipal properties, as well as municipally run programs, events and meetings. It applies to spectators, players, fans, coaches, officials, parents, caregivers, volunteers, user groups and staff. Anyone in the building, or on the property, is bound by the RZone Policy.
Rzone is a program requiring all persons wishing to visit or use any South Huron facility, park or program to respect others and take responsibility in helping the Municipality maintain a positive environment. The "R" in Rzone stands for Respect and Responsibility.
Respect for yourself, Respect for others and Responsibility for your actions. The logo will serve as a reminder to staff and the public that the program is in effect and applies to everyone.
Rzone is first and foremost, a proactive education and awareness strategy to promote respectful and responsible behaviour at recreation facilities. The Rzone program applies to all community organizations and individuals using Municipality of South Huron recreational or administrative facilities, parks, and programs.
A copy of the Rzone Policy can be requested by contacting the Clerk's Department at 519-235-0310 or email clerk@southhuron.ca.
