The Municipality has one public cemetery under its control and operation named the Exeter Public Cemetery. The Exeter Cemetery is operated by the Community Services Department and is dedicated to helping families and individuals understand and make decisions regarding cemetery services and products. This is done in a manner that is sensitive, caring and comforting.
The Exeter Cemetery is located at the corner of Thames Road West and Airport Line in the Municipality of Bluewater.

Annual Exeter Public Cemetery Decoration Day
Decoration Day is a time to celebrate and pay respect to your loved ones, enjoy the fellowship of neighbours doing the same, or just to come, explore the history of the area and even if you are not connected to anyone interred there, to appreciate the peace and beauty of the resting places of those who lived before us.
2018 Decoration Day will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2018.
Donations to the Exeter Public Cemetery
Donations (in lieu of flowers) are gratefully accepted by the Municipality to assist with the care and maintenance of the Exeter Cemetery. An Official Receipt for Income Tax purposes will be provided upon request. Donation cards are available - click here as well as the local funeral homes and at the Municipal and Cemetery Offices. Please contact the Municipal Office for any additional information.

The Bereavement Authority of Ontario administers provisions of the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002 (FBCSA) on behalf of the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services. Responsible for protection of the public interest, the Bereavement Authority of Ontario regulates and supports licensed funeral establishments, cemetery operators, crematorium operators, transfer service operators, funeral directors, funeral preplanners, transfer service sales representatives, cemetery sales representatives, and crematorium sales representatives across Ontario.
